I went out of my house this morning and someone has put COWS in my garden.

So, its been almost a whole year since I last updated this thing.  For the few people who even actually read it, they may well have assumed that i’m dead.  I’m really not, I promise.

So, whats been happening in the world of me?.. well, to be perfectly honest, absolutely nothing.  I work the same job, do the same things, do less of certain things and overall live the life that i’ve settled myself into.

I still use the LiveWriter beta thing to post these, I wonder if they ever made a stable full version.. hmm.

Oh well! I’m currently toying with the idea of re-optimizing the site and changing a few bits and bobs around, definately going to change the title image and sort out all that crap.  I am pretty miserable with how it looks right now, so I might configure a joombla installation or some crapola to make things look a bit more.. web2.0.  I HATE THAT TERM.  Seriously.  Web2.0 is about giving the people access to easy to use forms of online communication that doesn’t require a degree in computer sciences to do it.  Its about global community and sharing and love and posting your Top Ten Things to do when completely stoned out of your face at a Foo Fighters concert on Digg.

For the record, what happened to digg?.. it used to be the best thing since sliced bread, now its ultimately awful, full of idiots whining about the same old thing and HD-DVD encryption keys.

Ah well, this could possibly be just another flash in the pan blog post because I was feeling pseudo inspired and felt like writing.  Next time, my post will be filled with spoilers about Bioshock, since i just completed it.  So stay tuned kids!

Ah, another 1am, another friday night.

Well, with help from a very dear friend and a not so dear one, I have finally managed to puncture through this block and get back on the beaten track to possible art uploading.  Regular viewers will notice a few new entries in the gallery, which is, afterall, what this site primarily is for.

In other news, my island up here was recently hit with some of the worst rain ever, causing all sorts of flash-floods and shit.  So much so that nearly all of the rain thats estimated to fall in october for the UK, fell in a 24 hour space of time.

Pretty crazy shit, up here.

I’m currently testing the new Google Reader for my website, trying to let all the new entries into the gallery and blog pop up on the front page like little.. things.

Well, fingers crossed for things.

Thank god, my muse came back.  New arts on the way ladies and gentleman, you can thank my green pencil for that magic.

So it dawned on me, in a moment of horror, that I spent the best part of 3 days trying to get this wordpress blog to function just right and to my tastes.  And, oddly, I never even use the damn thing.

Current album of choice this month is an oldie but a gold.. um.. E.  Dj Shadow’s Private Press.  If I could take one album to a desert island with me, i’d take a compilation CD with a few of these tracks on. (hah)

So here we go, another unstructured waste of blogspace.  On the life front, things are going good.  I’ve been working my ass off for the glory of NHS Orkney.  A job which, like most jobs, loses its pizazz after the first few months, but at least the feel-good factor is present.  I actually feel like i’m helping people. (This is excludes the fucking tourists who seem to always forget their life-preserving medication when they go on holiday.  Okay, if you were about to go on a week-long trip and you had these pills that, I don’t know, stopped you from dying, would you honestly forget them?  Fuck no, they’d be the first and last thing I made sure I had with me.  But, alas.)

Next point, i’ve actually drawn something and put it on the internet again, my harshest critic being myself, I already hate it.  But, what the christ?.. it can be found in the Gallery.  That said, does anyone know how to convert RSS into a format that can be displayed on say.. the front page of the website?

Sup yall.  Just a quick test of a new microsoft product by the tittlating title of Window Life Writer.

It seems to work fairly.. okay, pretty chuffed that you don’t have to have a bloody spaces account to update your Wordpress(?!) blog, plus, it seems to let you insert pictures, like the one below.. of my signed Xmen comic

So, after much deliberance, I finally decided to try out this WoW thing that asian kids keep dying for. My past experiance with MMORPGs never really extended further than the godawful StarWars Galaxies of course, at the time SWG was the greatest thing in the world.  Hmm.

Ah well, onto WoW, I got the US version of the game and jammed around on a server called “Feathermoon” for a while.  Fun game, i thought, until I noticed the time.   I’d been playing for six damn hours.  This game is terribly immersive.

So far, i’ve been really impressed with what i’ve seen, the landscapes are wonderful, the players seem relatively friendly and, all in all, it just feels a lot more polished.  Like i’m not paying to pay an open beta.

On the Art front, i’ve purchased some large sheets of high-GSM paper and i’m currently sketching out big ideas for inking.  With a brush.

Been a while since i’ve done that.
